On this day in 1999, England looked to be on their way to Grand Slamming the Five Nations before Scott Gibbs scored a late try to seal the victory for Wales.
In the final knocking of the match, Chris Wyatt tapped the ball off the top of the lineout to Rob Howley, who flung the ball out to Scott Quinnell who sent rampaging Gibbs through a gap to score with Neil Jenkins adding the extras to seal the win.

"Sport does not come much better, nor embrace so many twists and turns, as the last episode of rugby union's Five Nations Championship," reported The Times after Wales' stunning last gasp win.
The 32-31 win for Wales meant that Scotland won the final Five Nations tournament with Italy joining the competition the following year.
