Munster fall to Edinburgh at home

Munster struggled to get into the game as Edinburgh kept the pressure on and capitalised on multiple errors by the home side. Alex Nankivell, on his return, gave Munster the lead after 14 minutes but after that Edinburgh went on the rampage as they ended up taking a 7-29 lead into the break.

The second half saw a brief come back but the visitors did enough to keep their lead far enough away not to be worried.

Marshall Sykes topped the tackle count with 24, Alex Nakivell not only scored a brace of tries but topped the turnover stats with three and beat seven defenders. The loss means Munster do not move into fourth on the table as they are a point behind the Sharks and sitting in 5th place
