More Shoulder Woes for Lood
- 2510
Sale and Springbok lock Lood de Jager’s injury woes continue as the towering 27 year old damaged his shoulder during Sale’s 40-31 victory over Leicester on the weekend.
De Jager has had significant issues with his shoulders of late – just last year he had to undergo reconstructive surgery on both – and this latest misfortune could rule him out of the remainder of the Premiership.
A scan of the problem area was completed today [Sunday] to assess damage and a timeline of rehab will soon be determined.
The giant 2.05m, 125kg South African injected plenty of zeal into the Sale set-up, putting his frame to particularly good use in the lineouts while also making his presence felt in the loose. It seems that his place will be taken by new recruit and fellow South African Cobus Wiese who will make his debut for the club on Wednesday.
