SA Rugby’s Director of Rugby, Rassie Erasmus, lauded a number of players for superb individual performances in the Springboks’ 35-17 win over Australia in Johannesburg but said the team will have to improve as they build towards the Rugby World Cup.
The Boks scored five tries to two, with Herschel Jantjies (scrumhalf) grabbing two on debut as South Africa recorded a full-house of five Rugby Championship log points at Ellis Park. Read more
Augustin Creevy to miss Wallabies clash
Argentina will have to face Australia in Brisbane this Saturday without the help of hooker Augustin Creevy.
The 34-year-old suffered a shoulder injury in the 16-20 Rugby Championship defeat against the All Blacks.

Springboks name squad to travel to New Zealand
The Springboks have confirmed a touring squad of 36 players for their Rugby Championship matches against New Zealand and Argentina in the next three weeks.
SA Rugby Director of Rugby, Rassie Erasmus, coaching staff and eight players jetted out of Johannesburg soon after the team’s 35-17 victory over Australia at Ellis Park on Saturday night to join an advance party of 14 players who left on Thursday.
A further 10 players take the next available routing on Sunday evening. The scheduling means that Erasmus will have 22 players on the training field for an afternoon training session in Wellington on Monday. Full story
Steve Hansens explains why Josh Ioane didn't make his test debut against the Pumas
Rookie first five Josh Ioane was the only debutant not to feature in the clash with Luke Jacobson, Atu Moli and Braydon Ennor all came off the bench while Sevu Reece started.
With Richie Mo'unga left at home, along with a number of his Crusaders teammates, Ioane looked certain to make his Test debut however he was left on the bench as Beauden Barrett and Ben Smith both played full games.
Speaking to media after the victory, All Blacks' head coach Steve Hansen held his hands up over Ioane's lack of action, saying that the match situation wasn't right to introduce the youngster. Read more
