Brisbane City claim Andy Purcell Cup in Queensland derby
Brisbane City have reclaimed the Andy Purcell Cup after beating Bond University Queensland Country 39-24 in their Round 5 National Rugby Championship (NRC) clash at Sci-Fleet Stadium at Wests Rugby Union club.
The home side ran in five-tries-to-four to record their third-straight victory and stay in touch with the competition’s top four with just two rounds of the regular season remaining. Read more
Highlanders Home Games Confirmed
The Highlanders home programme in 2019 has seven games at Forsyth Barr Stadium and one at Rugby Park Stadium in Invercargill. The first regular season home game will be against the Brad Thorn coached Queensland Reds in Dunedin on Friday 22nd February and will conclude against the Waratahs on Friday 14th June in Invercargill. Bay of Plenty have released an injury update confirming that Mike Delany suffered a pectoral tear during the North Harbour vs. Bay of Plenty Steamers match on Sunday 16 September, he will require surgery and will not return for the remainder of the season. Full update
