Springboks welcome back fit-again Marx and Kolisi

Springbok hooker Malcolm Marx and flanker Siya Kolisi will return to the training field on Monday as the team begins their preparations for the last Outgoing Tour match against Wales in Cardiff on Saturday.

Marx sat out of the previous Test against Italy as a precautionary measure after he picked up a shoulder injury against France in Paris, while Kolisi was in South Africa for the birth of his second child. He re-joined the squad on Sunday.

 


Dragons sign Ross Moriarty on a two-year deal


Hot on the heels of his exit at Gloucester Rugby, back-row forward Ross Moriarty has signed a two-year deal with Dragons Rugby.

The 23-year-old, who has won 21 caps for Wales, is expected to arrive at Rodney Parade next season.


Ireland  replace Australia as World Rugby's third-ranked team

Ireland have replaced Australia in third place in the World Rugby Rankings thanks to the Wallabies’ heavy defeat at the hands of Scotland at Murrayfield.

The 53-24 scoreline resulted in a loss of 1.8 rating points for Michael Cheika’s side, to leave them on 85.49 points – nine-tenths less than Ireland whose total stays at 86.39 after a 28-19 home win over Argentina.
