Beaumont given captaincy and new deal
Number eight Josh Beaumont has been named Sale Sharks club captain after agreeing a new three-year deal with the Premiership side.
The 23-year-old, who made his debut in 2013, replaces Dan Braid who retired to join the coaching staff.
Injury blow for Boks
Stormers and Springbok flank Siya Kolisi is set to miss the Rugby Championship after sustaining a knee injury on Saturday.
According to reports, the 25-year-old will be sidelined for up to three months.
Bristol sign Nemsadze
Georgian international, Giorgi Nemsadze, has signed with Bristol ahead of the new season.
The 31-year-old lock has made 62 international Test appearances, playing at both the 2011 and 2015 World Cups.
Rebels sign AUS Sevens star Pama Fou
The Melbourne Rebels have added Australian Sevens star Pama Fou for their 2017 Super Rugby season.
The 25-year-old will join the Rebels in August on a one-year contract.
All Blacks head coach Hansen re-appointed until 2019
All Blacks Head Coach Steve Hansen has been reappointed until 2019, New Zealand Rugby has confirmed today.
"It was never going to be an easy decision nor a foregone conclusion that I would extend my contract. As I've said many times before, it had to be right for my family, for myself and for the team."
Hansen was World Rugby's Coach of the Year from 2012-2014, and has been coaching for more than two decades at club, provincial, Super Rugby and international level.

Huriicanes vs Sharks: The Hurricanes became the second New Zealand team to reach this year's Super Rugby semi-finals as they whitewashed the Sharks 41-0, making Hurricanes the first team to hold a side to zero in a Super Rugby quarter final.
Lions vs Crusaders: The Lions ran out emphatic 42-25 winners over the Crusaders. The win moves the Lions on into the semi-finals.
Stormers vs Chiefs: The Chiefs ran out convincing 60-21 winners over the Stormers. The win means the Chiefs progress to play the Hurricanes in the semi-finals.
