Mitre 10 Cup Round 5 Highlights: Waikato v Counties Manukau

Waikato took on Manukau at the Waikato Stadium. Both teams came off a victory in week 4 and had much confidence in the game. Fabling opened the scoring for Waikato with a 10th minute try. Robertson got Manukau on the board in the 14th minute with a penalty kick. Minutes later and Nanai-Seturo scored a try to extend the lead for Manukau. Waikato ended the first half on a high after a penalty try was awarded to them after repeated team infringements and O'Donnell was sent to the bin. Smith opened the scoring in the second half with a three pointer and minutes later, Thomson scored a try to extend the lead. Waikato extended their lead in the second half to win the game and have four wins in a row for the first time.
