Harlequins have confirmed that winger Marland Yarde will join Sale Sharks with immediate effect.
Though still only 25, Marland, who was born in St Lucia, boasts a wealth of experience and has already made more than 100 Premiership appearances - 81 of which for Harlequins, scoring 27 tries, since joining in 2014.
Harlequins Director of Rugby John Kingston said: "Marland is a top player and I have a great relationship with him. We have enjoyed working together over the last three years and I want to thank him for his contribution to the Club and wish him well for the future.
"He’s played really well for us this year, but the decision for Harlequins to allow Marland to speak to Sale was made because I felt it was in the best interest of the Club. Every decision I make is with the intention of doing the right thing for Harlequins football club, and that's the way it will always be.
"I’m building a positive environment and culture at Harlequins, on and off the field, which I believe will ultimately allow us to challenge for honours.”
His explosive pace and lethal finishing were quick to be recognised at international level with Marland awarded his first England cap on the summer tour to Argentina in 2013 where he scored a brace of tries on his debut.
Marland has since won 13 caps in total, claiming eight tries in total, his latest appearances coming on this summer's tour to Argentina.
