Manu Tuilagi says he is "fit and ready to go" if required for a resumption of his Test career this summer.
Tuilagi made his long-awaited return from an Achilles injury, he suffered last September, last weekend coming off the bench for the Sale Sharks and starts his first game for more than eight months when Sale Sharks host fellow Premiership semi-final qualifiers Harlequins on Friday.
The centre has not ruled out the chance of him featuring for Eddie Jones' England team this summer.
Asked about England - Tuilagi has not played international rugby since March last year - he said:
"I am fit and ready to go.
"If I get given the opportunity, it's always an honour.
"Eddie has been pretty good at keeping in touch. But we haven't set anything yet. We'll see."
Tuilagi went on regular hiking trips and took up salsa dancing as part of his injury rehabilitation.
