Leali'ifano signs for Japanese Top League side

Playmaker Christian Leali'ifano will link up with former Brumbies coach Jake White at the end of the 2018 Super Rugby season after signing a deal to join Japanese Top League side Toyota Verblitz for the 2018/19 season. 

Verblitz will be the third club Leali'ifano has represented this year after spending time in Ireland with Ulster ahead of the Super Rugby season.

The move could see the 30-year-old put his test career on hold for a bit longer after ruling himself out of contention for a call up during the 2018 June Test against Ireland. 

Leali'ifano returns to Japan having previous represented Sungoliath in 2016.
