Larmour set to be handed starting berth in Bilbao

Leinster utility-back Jordan Larmour is set to be handed the No. 14 shirt for Saturday's Champions Cup final clash against Racing 92 at the San Mames, Bilbao.

The 20-year-old wing will come into the starting line-up for the injured Fergus McFadden, who suffered a season-ending hamstring injury against the Scarlets in the semi-final at the Aviva Stadium.

Larmour came on as a second-half substitute in the 38-16 win over Scarlets and the Leinster coaching set-up are tipped to hand the promising youngster his third Champions Cup start in just his first season as a professional.

The former St. Andrews College pupil has enjoyed a breakthrough year after bursting onto the international scene following some breathtaking inter-provincial displays during the Christmas period.

Making his Test debut against Italy in the 2018 Six Nations, Larmour was a second-half substitute at Twickenham as Ireland claimed their third Grand Slam on St. Patrick's Day.

Luke McGrath has recovered from an ankle injury to take up the No. 9 shirt from New Zealander Jamison Gibson-Park, the former Hurricane will provide cover off the bench should McGrath feel short of match-fitness following a four-week absence.

After missing out on selection for the Champions Cup semi-final, James Lowe is once again set to fall victim to EPCR rules on foreign players as Champions Cup state 'each club is permitted a maximum of two 'non-European players' in each match squad'.

Leo Cullen and Stuart Lancaster are likely to select the same starting forward pack that has overpowered holders Saracens and Scarlets so far in the knock-out stages.
