Joe Marler and Luke Fitzgerald's reaction to Lions squad

England front-rower Joe Marler and former Ireland backline ace Luke Fitzgerald have responded with less than flattering comments regarding Warren Gatland’s British & Irish Lions squad which was announced today.
The captaincy came as no surprise as the now most-capped test player of all time, Alun Wyn Jones, was entrusted with the leadership role after showing great form in the 2021 Six Nations.
However, the squad did contain a few names which had hardly been bandied about in the run-up to the announcement which have raised a few eyebrows.
Joe Marler took to Twitter with the following:
Line Of Duty Finale vibe???

Marler's comment is in reference to a BBC television series, the finale of which received very negative press. Marler has admitted that he was gutted not to be in contention for selection after confirming that he had not received a save-the-date email from Gatland.
Fitzgerald echoed Marler’s sentiments with these Tweets:
Some absolute baffling calls there
