Itoje and Kruis extend Saracens contracts

England pair Maro Itoje and George Kruis have both signed new deals to remain with the side until 2019.

Speaking on Itoje and Kruis’ contract extensions, Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall said: “We are extremely happy that Itoje and Kruis have committed their futures to the Club. Both have progressed from the Academy and that allowed them to establish themselves as key players within the squad. They have been in superb form this season for both club and country, and we’re excited about them doing it here at Saracens.”

Both Itoje and Kruis look forward to being the future lock pair for England, and Itoje has been set to possibly captain England in the future. The pair have been highly anticipated to walk the same trail as the famous Springbok centre pairing of Victor Matfield and Bakkies Botha.
