Itoje & Barritt star in routine Saracens win
- 1604
A relatively routine win for Saracens as they claimed their second bonus-point victory in this season's Champions Cup as they brushed Lyon aside in a 29-10 win.
Saracens didn't look like they may lose the encounter throughout the game and Alex Lewington's try with three minutes remaining brought the well-earned bonus point.
Here are Top Performers from the clash:
Maro Itoje - Saracens
That's two impressive Champions Cup performances in a row for the Saracens flanker as he rivalled club captain Brad Barritt for the man of the match award.
Itoje carried the ball with real purpose against Lyon making 82 running metres from 4 carries, albeit that 50 metres came from his runaway try in the first half.
The England International also made 9 tackles and won two turnovers.'
Oohhhhh Maro Itoje! 😍

Brad Barritt - Saracens
Another captains effort from the Saracens inside centre as he led his side to their first win over Lyon in the competition.
Barritt's stats do his performance no justice as his 9 running metres and 5 tackles do not reflect his influence on the game.
The 32-year-old made a number of key decisions that led to tries for his side and was on hand to score his side's 100th try in the competition.
Liam Williams - Saracens
Wales fans will be delighted to know that they will have a fully fit and firing Liam Williams at their disposal next month.
The Saracens flyer made a match-high of 92 running metres and was impressive in the air.
He linked up with the attack well and run clever lines as Saracens ran in 4 tries.
Owen Farrell - Saracens
A stellar performance by the England co-captain. He controlled the game well and was excellent with the boot.
His touch finders were simply superb as he got his forwards lineouts deep inside the Lyon 22 on a regular basis.
Farrell assisted a try and was excellent from the tee missing just one attempt from the sideline.
Deon Fourie - Lyon
The South African hybrid hooker/loose forward was exceptional at the breakdown at Allianz Park as he stalled a number of Saracens' attacks at key times.
He was just as effective on attack making 37 running metres from 8 carries and his absences at the breakdown was felt when Charl Fearns replaced him in the 55th minute.
