Henry Purdy hungry for more after bittersweet debut

HENRY Purdy is determined to hang onto the number 13 jersey after a bittersweet Premiership debut.
The Junior World Championship winner deputised for injured Henry Trinder as Gloucester slipped to a 25-22 defeat at the hands of Exeter Chiefs.
But Purdy was thrilled with his first start in competitive action and hopes he has done enough to hold onto his place ahead of a trip to face London Welsh on Friday.
He said: “It was good to get a call-up but it’s a bit bittersweet.
It was great to get my debut and I enjoyed the game but we could have taken it at the end.
