Hanro Liebenberg ruled out for 6-12 weeks

There was further bad news for the Bulls on Monday night when it was confirmed by a specialist that No 8 Hanro Liebenberg will be out of action for 6-12 weeks and must undergo surgery.

The Bulls medical team confirmed that Liebenberg would now undergo surgery either later this week or early next week and would be out for 6-12 weeks with the ankle injury he picked up against the Hurricanes and not 3-6 weeks as initially diagnosed.

The second diagnosis found that the injury is far more serious and it was decided to operate, meaning that Liebenberg is only likely to return midway in the Currie Cup season.
