The Bulls announced that flyhalf Handré Pollard has injured his right ankle (Syndesmosis) during training on Thursday morning.
The Bulls pivot is seeing a specialist regarding a surgical procedure and is expected to be out of action for 8 to 10 weeks.
The injury comes as another setback for the young flyhalf as he returned to the Bulls team at the beginning of the season following an injury and illness that ruled him out for the majority of the 2016 season.
Pollard is likely to miss the international test series between South Africa and France which kicks-off on 10 June.
