Handre Pollard's blunder almost cost the Bulls a try before the TMO stepped in

Springbok and Bulls flyhalf Handre Pollard was saved by the TMO in the Bulls Super Rugby derby against the Sharks in Durban.
The flyhalf looked to have cost his side a try when he tried to let the ball roll out before it was pounced on by Sharks flyer Aphelele Fassi, he raced got the offload away and the Sharks went into score.
The TMO stepped in to disallow the try as he judged the ball to have touched the touchline.
The decision was criticised on twitter with some fans split on the decision:
Poor officiating is really killing my love for the game. #SHAvBUL #SuperRugby

Supersport commentators Owen Nkumane and Joel Stransky and ref/TMO seeing #SHAvBUL in totally different directions! Comms thought the ball had bounced in for the DdP try, TMO ruled otherwise. Thought it was an illegal clean on Odendaal, ref said it was fair! #ssrugby #sharks

The TMO must have some amazing eyes to see that ball touching the line, don’t know if it did personally #SHAvBUL
