Gatland wary of "Bok-lash"

Warren Gatland is wise to the fact that, in all probability, his British & Irish Lions will face a monumental Springbok backlash next weekend in the second Test.
The Lions managed to stick one on Boks in Cape Town on Saturday evening to go 1-up in the 3-match series.
While Gatland clearly enjoyed the victory, he is aware of how it will fire up the World Champions.
“This win is very special. Every one is for me personally. We have beaten the world champions in their own backyard and that is very, very special.
“But they will be hurt by this. They are world champions and a very proud nation. You know they will be determined to get back at us next time but we will be ready and looking forward to it.
“There is a lot more in us and we can get better. We have the chance to win the series and that’s the biggest thing. We have got better as the tour has gone on so there’s no reason why we won’t be even stronger next weekend.
“It wasn’t a great first half as we gave away some soft penalties and allowed them to build a lead.
“But I said to the boys at half-time we are still in the arm wrestle and let’s stay in it and start scoring some points.
“We didn’t have to panic, just apply some pressure and it paid off.”
The teams meet again in Cape Town next Saturday. It is now do or die for the Boks as far as the series is concerned.
