Alaimalo switches Taniwha for Mako
Solomon Alaimalo has signed a deal that will see him represent Tasman during the 2018 Mitre 10 Cup season after two productive years with Northland.
The outside back played all 21 games he could while playing in the Cambridge Blue. Alaimalo was an integral member of the backline and was rewarded for his strong form with 10 appearances for the Chiefs in 2017, culminating in their Rookie of the Year award. Full Story
Trio added to Crusaders training squad
Three-test lock-loose forward Jarrad Hoeata has been involved with the reigning Super Rugby champions as training cover and could benefit from the raft of injuries.
The 34-year-old impressed for North Harbour in this year's NPC, after returning to New Zealand from a three-year stint with the Cardiff Blues in Wales.
Hoeata, Manawatu's Heiden Bedwell-Curtis, who was with the Crusaders last season, and Dylan Nel, who got a taste of NPC rugby for Canterbury, are all training with the side as injury cover. Full Story

Dragons Head Coach Bernard Jackman has continued his team building for next season by signing Rotherham Titans scrum half Rhodri Davies.
Davies left Wales for South Yorkshire after four seasons playing for Llandovery RFC wherein 65 appearances he scored 19 tries and was selected three times for the Scarlets. Full Story
