France vs England: The standout performers

France salvaged what may have been a lacklustre 6Nations campaign with a 33-31 win over England in the final match of the 6Nations. England put on a spirited performance that saw them gain and extend a lead in the second half. However a Thomas Ramos penalty in the dying minutes ensured that France finished in second place above Scotland.
With this we wrap up the 2024 6Nations, however we need to take a quick look at the standout performers before we can truly put the tournament to bed.
Ben Earl
The onky description fitting the English eightman is, "a force to be reckoned with" and that is how he played. From 10 carries, Earl gained 38 metres while beating 4 defenders and completing one succesful line break all while beating 4 defenders. Earl topped off his offensive performance with 4 carries, while simultaniously putiing on a stellar defensive effort with 19 tackles and a solitary turnover.
Ollie Lawrence
With just 7 carries, Lawrence gained 36 metres of ground putting him the third highest on the list on the day, coupled with 2 line breaks and 2 defenders beaten while completing 6 tackles.
Damien Penaud
The right-winger, who's been an ace for the French side for the enitire tournament, proved why he is among the best in the world with another masterclass performance.
His 68 metres off 9 carries coupled with 3 line breaks saw him top the stats for metres gained in the match.
7 passes and 3 offloads rounded off an excellent attacking performanc from the Frenchaman. Penaud was also efficient on defense completing 5 tackles and one turnover.
