Flying Fijian set for PRO14 debut with the Southern Kings

The Southern Kings return to action in the PRO14 this weekend after the competition went on a break for the Champions Cup.

The Kings have made three changes in the pack that will take on the Scarlets with Schalk Ferreira returning to anchor the scrum while Stephan de Wit comes in at No6 in a rotational switch with CJ Velleman.

However, the exciting inclusion in the squad is that of Fijian flyer Meli Rokotua on the bench.

Rokoua, who can play wing and centre, has represented Fiji’s sevens side and was highly rated in Portugal where he played for the Agronomia club.

The speedster scored eleven tries in 24 games in on season while playing in Portugal and featured for the Fijian Sevens back in 2015/2016.
