Finn Russell dismissed from Scotland Six Nations' squad

Scotland's star playmaker Finn Russell has been dismissed from the Scotland Six Nations' training camp just 9 days out from their opening game.
Scotland open their 2020 Six Nations account against Ireland in Dublin next Saturday but will do so without their star playmaker Finn Russell who has been sent back to France for what has been described as a 'breach of team protocol'.
The story was originally broken by BBC Scotland's Tom English who pointed to previous disagreements between Russell and Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend.
After last season's 38-38 draw with England, Russell said a half-time "argument" with coach Gregor Townsend helped spark a remarkable comeback.
"I actually had an argument with Gregor [at half-time]," Russell told ITV after the game.
"I said to him 'you're telling us to kick and when we kick, they just run it back and cut us open, and when we run it, they're just hitting us behind the gain line and winning the ball back'.
"Second half, we just came out with nothing to lose, played our rugby, kicked out of our half and scored some great tries. We played good Scottish rugby."
Finn Russell has left for reasons that are as yet unclear and could miss the entire #SixNations
