European Champions Cup Highlights: Munster Rugby Vs Glasgow Warriors
- 1605
Munster ran out bonus point winners today against a Glasgow side who were dwarfed by the magnitude of the occasion as Munster players, fans, friends and family bid farewell to the legendary player and coach, Anthony 'Axel' Foley. The men in red started brightly with man of the match Tyler Bleyendaal scoring an excellent try which he then converted after just 4 minutes. Munster got their second try ten minutes later as Taute got over the whitewash, again Bleyendaal was on hand to convert. Shortly after the second try Keith Earls received a red card for a dangerous tip tackle on Fraser Brown. At this stage it looked like the momentum might swing in favour of the Warriors but this was not the case as Munster went on to score another 10 unanswered points before the break. They started the second half the brighter too earning a penalty try after just 7 minutes. Glasgow managed to notch two converted tries of their own but Rory Scannell hit back with a try of his own before the end of the game. Ultimately Munster were thoroughly deserving of their bonus point victory over a dispirited Glasgow side who never really managed to get going today. A great send off to the great man Axel Foley.
