England and Bath flanker Sam Underhill will miss the entire Six Nations having had surgery on his ankle.
The 22-year-old will be out for up to three months after suffering an ankle injury during the victory over Leicester Tigers last month.
Underhill was already set to miss the opening games against Ireland and France, but Bath confirmed today that the injury was more severe than first thought.
The club also confirmed that Tom Ellis sustained ligament damage to his elbow against Worcester Warriors and will miss the next six to eight weeks as he undergoes rehabilitation.
