England maul their way to an emphatic victory

The 2020 Six Nations champions got thier Autumn Nations Cup off to a perfect start as they kept Georgia scoreless in an emphatic 40-0 victory.
Jamie George headed into the game having scored just four tries across 50 test appearances for England and he almost doubled his tally at HQ scoring a hattrick from the back of the England maul.
Test debutant Jack Willis scored on his test debut just 15 minutes into the game before Jamie Joseph tore through the Georgia defence to set up Elliot Daly for a try as England secured the bonus point before half time.
England led 26-0 at the break. Jamie George scored his third try in the 58th minute and in doing so became the first England forward to score three in test match.
There was another test debut with Max Malins coming off the bench while Ollie Lawrence started for the first time in an England jersey.
Mistakes counted against Georgia in the first few minutes of the first half as England maintained the pressure in the 22m. England, however, did not capitalize on the pressure and registered no points on the board in the 10 plus minutes spent in Georgia's 22m. Jack Willis powered over the line to score on debut in the 15th minute.
Finally, capitalizing on points available from the Georgian mistakes. Georgia managed to come alive midway through the half winning a scrum penalty and having more time on the ball. England mauled over from 10m out and Jamie George dotted down to extend their lead to 14:0 after 33 minutes played. Minutes later and Jamie George replicated the same try he scored moments earlier.
Elliot Daly rounded up the scoring in the first half securing the bonus point try just before half time.
The Georgian team started the second half as a team showing determination. Although play was only between the two sides 22m, Georgia did well to sustain the England pressure.
As the second half progressed, Georgia gained confidence and soon won a penalty inside England's 22m. They formed a maul but the England defence was too good to be shoved after their line and turned the ball over. Jamie George scored his hat-trick try in the 58th minute, replicating both his tries by scoring from the back of a rolling maul. Replacement srcum half, Dan Robson scored his first try for England extending the scoring to 40 points to zero.
As the half progressed the Georgians determination faded as England continued to dominate the stats and the points on the board. England secured their bonus point victory and moved to the top of the log in Group A.
The win sees England go top of their group while also replacing New Zealand in the World Rankings with the All Blacks slipping to third.
