Damian McKenzie scores first Japan Rugby League One try

All Blacks back Damian McKenzie scored his first try for Japanese club Suntory Sungoliath on Sunday.

Having joined the club from the Chiefs ahead of the new season, McKenzie scored 25 points on his debut last week with all of his points in the 60-46 victory coming from the tee.

The 26-year-old did cross the whitewash in his second appearance of the season dotting down against Toyota Verblitz.

Featuring at fullback for Suntory, McKenzie got on the end of Samu Kerevi offload and found his way over the line as his side claimed a convincing 50-8 victory over Steven Hansen's Verblitz.
