Cloete ruled out for 3-4 months with broken arm

Munster flanker Chris Cloete could be out for three to four months after undergoing surgery on a fractured forearm.

The South African flanker suffered the injury in Munster's Guinness Pro 14 victory over Glasgow on Friday night and is expected to be sidelined for 3-4 months.

Cloete has been a mainstay of Johann van Graan’s side this season but will now be unavailable for their crucial European Champions Cup quarter-final clash with Toulon.

The positive news for Munster is the return of Tommy O'Donnell from a shoulder injury. He will be available for selection on Friday for their Pro 14 fixture with Edinburgh.
