Champions Make Visit to Swansea School Ahead of Big URC Clash

United Rugby Championship champions Stormers yesterday made a visit to St Joseph’s Cathedral school in Swansea ahead of tonight’s game with Ospreys.

Working alongside Ospreys In the Community, the Stormers head coach John Dobson and second row Marvin Orie (former Ospreys player) visited the school with the URC trophy.

As part of the visit they led some activities with the kids involved before hosting a Q&A and allowed for photos and videos of the experience to be shot.

As a pilot activity in bringing the teams of the BKT URC to new communities and learning about each other’s cultures and communities the league is very proud and grateful to the clubs and personnel involved in bringing this to life. We would also like to extend our thanks to BBC Wales for taking part in the event ahead of their live broadcast of the game.

The United Rugby Championship is league of diversity and events that allow for this kind of cultural exchange and engagement with the communities across our territories are warmly welcomed and the our ambition is for this to become common place for teams touring in both hemispheres.
