Clermont claimed their third victory of the 2020/21 TOP14 season on Sunday as they crushed Stade Francais 41-27 at the Stade Marcel Michelin.
Stade Francais started the game strongly with Gael Fickou setting Telusa Veainu up for a try inside the opening five minutes but their lead would just last five minutes as Clermont levelled things through hooker Adrien Pelissie.
Clermont took control of the game from there with tries from Alexandre Lapandry, Sebastien Bezy (2) as well as a penalty try.
The try of the game however, was Bezy's first just before half time.
A crunching tackle from Sitaleki Timani dislodged the ball from Loic Godener and Clermont looked to pounce immediately.
The ball went out to Adrien Pelisse who threw a pass out to Camille Lopez who threw a superb pass through his legs to Jean-Pascal Barrague. The centre tapped it on expertly to Kotaro Matsushima with the centre running around to get the ball back from his winger before putting an excellent kick through for Bezy who scored.
