Bulls bolstered by returning Boks while Brits and van Staden in doubt

The Bulls could be without two of their key players in their final regular season match against the Lions at Loftus on Saturday.

The 24-all draw against the Highlanders has come at a cost for the Bulls with hooker Schalk Brits and loose forward Marco van Staden leaving the field with concussions.

The pair will undergo return to play protocols this week with a decision on their availability set to be made later this week, while the squad has been bolstered by the return of winger Rosko Specman and fullback Warrick Gelant who both suffered hamstring injuries.

Springbok Jesse Kriel has also recovered from his ankle injury and no.8 Duane Vermeulen will be available again after he was rested during the Bulls’ final two games on tour.

The Bulls will also have all of their flyhalves at their disposal with Handre Pollard returning from injury last week, while Marnitz Boshoff has successfully completed two SuperSport Rugby Challenge matches.

Paul Schoeman and Lood de Jager are still on the injury list for their final regular season game.
