Brumbies duo Tomas Cubelli and Chris Alcock have announced that they will depart the club having completed the 2017 Super Rugby season.
Argentinean scrum-half Cubelli will head back to South America to link up with the Jaguares whilst flanker Alcock goes to Japan to play for Kamaishi Seawaves.
Cubelli signed for the Brumbies at the commencement of the 2016 Super Rugby season, making his debut against the Hurricanes in Round 1, and went on to play eighteen times for the club, his last match being the Quarter Final game against the same opponents this season.
Alcock meanwhile, arrived from Western Force at the start of the 2017 campaign an immediately settled into the flanker position, putting in some outstanding performances and crossing for two tries in thirteen appearances in a Brumbies shirt.
“We would like to thank both Tomas and Chris for their time at the Brumbies,” CEO Michael Thomson commented.
“Both have been outstanding players for the club and have helped foster our culture off the field.”
“While we are sorry to see them both leave the club, we wish them both the very best of luck for the future and they are welcome back at the Brumbies at any time. They will always be part of the Brumby family.”
