Bristol welcome Officer Naulago into their ranks

It appears that Bristol Bears will enjoy the services of Ratu Siva Naulago sooner rather than later as the 29 year-old looks set to finally join up with the squad after his services to Hull F.C draw to a close.
It has been confirmed that he will replace Harry Ascherl in the current Champions Cup squad which will bring welcome relief as regular and stand-out centre Semi Radradra is out with injury after the Autumn Nations Cup.
Naulago is a soldier in the British Army but has been granted temporary release to pursue this opportunity. He has been in striking form of late for Hull in the 2020 Super League and the Ashton Gate faithful will be licking their lips at the prospect of him taking the field in their colours.
“With Siva being an EQP Rugby Union player and a British Army Soldier, we looked at him closely, said Pat Lam, Bears’ head coach.
“He is incredibly fit, with great pace and an eye for the try line. He’s been consistently outstanding in his relatively short time in Super League and that’s testament to the great work from the team at Hull FC.”
Naulago was ushered onto the League scene after he was spotted playing sevens for the British Army but played Union throughout his youth.
“Pat has put together a great squad in recent years and the team are really starting to make their mark both in the English Premiership and European competitions,” said Naulago earlier this year.
“They play a really attractive brand of rugby which I think will suit me and get the best out of me as a player. I was hugely impressed by the new training facilities and their aspirations and ambitions as a club. They want to be challenging at the top end of the game and there seems to be a real buzz around the city.”
