Benetton set to include player surnames on the back of their jersey this season

For the 2024/2025 season, Benetton Rugby will take the field with a new home jersey designed by Erreà, reinforcing a historic and longstanding partnership.
The jersey, made in the classic white and green shades symbolizing the Lions, features a white V-neckline that highlights elegance and tradition. This new kit is not just a visual representation of the team but a true tribute to the closeness and passion of the fans.
In the white part of the jersey, the club's supporters are depicted in a tone-on-tone style, symbolizing their constant support.
On the back, Benetton's kit will feature players' surnames above the jersey number, in a first for one of our clubs in the URC.
Additionally, the new jersey will offer a modern and engaging digital experience, bringing fans into the heart of the action like never before and becoming an access point to special experiences before, during, or after the match.
Thanks to the integration of an NFC (Near Field Communication) TAG, Benetton Rugby is redefining the way it offers exclusive content to its audience, multiplying interaction opportunities. By simply bringing their smartphone close to the jersey, fans will be able to access interviews, behind-the-scenes videos, match highlights, ticketing, and much more.
An integrated communication system based on an innovative "phygital" platform allows fans to enter a new, personalized digital environment, rich in exclusive content, curiosities, and special promotions planned throughout the year. The platform allows for dynamic NFC TAG programming over time and space, offering specific content or activating geolocated campaigns for users in specific areas.
The project is part of a digital strategy aimed at providing fans with total immersion in the club's universe, making them feel even closer to their favorite team while offering exclusive promotions.
This innovative digital model for fans and sponsors is being launched today in Italy by Benetton Rugby Treviso in collaboration with Abilitya, a Swiss brand that develops digital solutions for the world of sports, tourism, and shopping.
