Earlier today Benetton Rugby's medical staff released the following update on the physical condition of Agentinian centre Joaquin Riera.
The green and white midfielder sustained an injury during the Lions' URC fixture against Cardiff on 21 October. Riera underwent surgery yesterday (15 November) to stabilize the ulnar head with reconstruction of the insertions of the triangular fibrocartilage of the left wrist.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Stefano Tognon and it is perfectly successful. Riera will now begin the recovery process.
Benetton Rugby along with the rugby community wish Joaquin a speedy recovery and a soon return to the field.
