Aviva Premiership Highlights: Saracens Vs Gloucester Rugby (Round 09)
- 1376
Saracens ran out narrow margin victors over Gloucester in this AVIVA Premiership clash at Allianz Park. This game was a nail-bitingly close affair from start to finish with spells of scintillating end to end expansive rugby. Gloucester started brightly with Ben Morgan crashing over after just 1 minute. Sarries hit back with a try of their own on the 11 minute mark when Brad Barritt went over the whitewash for his first try in nearly two years. In what was the highlight of the game Billy Burns scored an incredible individual try after 15 minutes which Hook duly converted. Again Saracens responded quickly, this time through Mike Ellery. Both sides exchanged penalties for the remainder of the game with both Lozowski and Hook put in good kicking displays from the tee. Ultimately Gloucester's ill discipline cost them as the high penalty count provided Sarries with the opportunities they needed to win the game. A disappointing game for Gloucester, Sarries on the other hand will be delighted to have exacted revenge for their defeat in the Anglo-Welsh cup at the beginning of the month.
