Alby Mathewson never imagined he would play for the red and blacks

It's fair to say it might take a while to get used to Alby Mathewson running around in the red and black Canterbury strip. 

The 30-year-old former All Black halfback had his first training session for the national provincial championship side in Christchurch on Thursday, just a couple of days after joining the team as injury cover for Mitchell Drummond.
