1. Julian Savea
Julian Savea absolutely tore apart the French defense in their Quarter-Final encounter. The winger looked a threat every time he was on the ball, and showed his superior strength and pace as he scored a hat-trick. In particular, Savea showed his dominance of the fixture as he scored his second try, driving over 3 French defenders with ease.
2. Dan Carter
Carter took control of the encounter when the All Blacks met France. The outhalf showed his impressive running game with ball in hand, setting up Jerome Kaino's try in the second half after making a great break and fending off Pascal Pape. Carter also impressed with his kicking game, converting 8/10 off the tee.
3. Dan Biggar
Despite being on the losing side of the fixture against South Africa, Biggar was the Welsh stand out player. Biggar set up Wales' only try of the encounter with an outstanding chip and chase, before offloading to Gareth Davies. Unfortunately for the outhalf, Biggar was forced to come off early with a head injury concern, just before Wales conceded the try which cost them victory.
4. Schalk Burger
Burger had a superb game in the back row, leading from the front in what was a very physical battle between the forwards. The flanker showed his great work rate as he made his away around the field clearing out the Welsh at the breakdown and denying any ground in defense. Burger will be very important for South Africa at the breakdown when they face the All Blacks.
5. Fourie Du Preez
Du Preez led his side to victory in a nail-biting encounter against Wales in spectacular fashion. The scrum half controlled his forwards superbly and managed to present quick ball for his backs. Du Preez showed his ingenuity when he linked up with Duane Vermeulen's carry off the scrum to break for the corner and secure a Semi-Final spot for his nation.
