- 2503
South Africa made it two wins from two against England as they ground out a 23-12 win in the second test in the June Internationals. England once again got off to a fast start as they crossed for two early scores to lead 12-0. South Africa hit back with their first try, with a penalty following soon after to reduce the deficit to just two points at 12-10. A monster penalty kick just before halftime saw the Springboks head into the break holding a slender 13-12 lead. A massive South African scrum near the line saw the hosts awarded a penalty try early in the second half to make it 20-12. The Springboks extended their advantage with a penalty to 23-12 with just under 15 minutes to play. Shortly after England were reduced to 14 men after picking up a yellow card to halt any kind of fightback, as the Springboks controlled the final minutes to seal the victory and take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
