hey
85 minutes total play time due to an extensive bit of play near the end looking for their 4th try. Tah's now see themselves in 7th place and that bonus point try could make all the difference. Overall a great game of rugby originally I felt the Force would have taken advantage of the home crowd and support but there was just too much work for them to do to breach the Tah's defence.Super rugby now takes a break for a month and its all eyes on the lions. Make sure to check back here soon when we will upload the highlights to this match, thanks for keeping updated through Ultimate Rugby.
5 minutes after 80 and Waratahs desperate for a bonus point try. 17 phases later and the ball goes wide and Betham dives for the corner. TMO uses to see if ball is grounded correctly unfortunately for Betham the ball was lost briefly before it was touched down and no try given.
Another 3 points added by the Waratahs. Initial break by Betham we thought he was going to make it all the way however is taken down 15 metres from the line. Force came from offside position previously and the advantage is used and an easy kick in front of the posts pushes Waratahs 15 points in front.
A bit more urgency from the home side and they are getting more and more territory. The close ball around the rucks just doesnt' seem to work and the Waratahs defence is too solid around the fringes to allow anyone through.
McKibbin who has had a great first 65 makes way for Coleman who runs onto the field. Lets see if this substitution changes the game play for the 'Tahs
Superb try by Force. Initially began with a quick lineout just inside their own 10 metre line. The ball is sent out and a sneaky dummy and jink off his left leg allows outhalf Ebersohn break the first line defence and open up the game play. Godwin was in close support and receives the ball to run 40 metres unopposed over the line. Hayward misses conversion.
Although the possession stats are in favour of the Waratahs , the last 10 minutes has been played in the Tah's half and its Force in attack. The Waratahs defence is solid and Force seem to find no way through and have reverted to a chip and chase game plan.
Yellow card for the Tahs. Hollaway deliberately knocking the ball out of the scrum half's hands from the back of the ruck and he will now miss the next 10 minutes of play.
