Wales take a 16-13 lead over Aus into halftime. Aus got off to the perfect start with an early try, with Wales slotting a penalty shortly after. Aus then picked up a red card 15 minutes in, with Wales kicking the resulting penalty. An Aus penalty made it 10-6, but the Wallabies then picked up a yellow card to go down to 13 players. Wales capitalized with their first try to hit the front 13-10. Aus levelled matters with a penalty before a late first half kick at goal sees Wales up by three points at the break.
