Two props not good enough for this level great recruitment again Blues
Full time signals the end of the regular season, onwards and upwards to the semi finals. Ulster survived an early scare to come back and win, meaning they secure top spot, a home semi and a possible 'home' final (despite it being in the RDS, Ulster will receive the homeside ticket allocation). Leinster also won meaning they wil be back in the RDS next week to take on Glasgow. Despite getting hammered at home the Scarlets sneak into the semis and will travel to Ravenhill next week to face an Ulster side that will be brimming with confidence after topping the table.
Olding makes a half break and as Ulster attack the Cardiff line. Hewitt is guilty of being offside and slapping the ball from Pienaars hands gets deservedly binned. Ulster take the penalty quickly and catch the Blues unaware. and Diack crosses for Ulster's 4th try.
Unfortunately the weather is making it's impact on this match. Ulster attempt to pass the ball from touchline to touchline but the ball is greasy and is eventually fumbled.
Patchell and Robinson collide as they attempt to field a kick from Pienaar. Trimble is on hand to grubber the ball over the try line and pounces on it to secure a 15 point lead for Ulster.
Patchell makes a mess of an up and under in front of his posts. The pressure forces him to hold on in the ruck
Errors starting to creep into the Blues game. Their restart doesn't go the required 10m. Schoolboy error.
A incredible try from Trimble! A powerful scrum marches the Blues back towards their line. Williams breaks from the base, from the next ruck, Marshall fires the ball out to Trimble on the wing. He beats one and carries two over the line with him. Superb strength!
