Sale secure a bonus point and hand Wasps what is only their third defeat of the season after an impressive 34-28 home victory from the AJ Bell Stadium. The Sharks got off to a flying start scoring three first half tries, all coming from the incredible Denny Solomona and all duly converted by Will Addison who put in arguably his most impressive place kicking performance of the season. Wasps came out in the second half looking more like the team we have become used to seeing this Premiership season, moving the ball at pace and causing Sale a whole host of problems. They managed to cut Sale's lead back to just 6 points with tries coming from Bassett, Johnson and Beale. Ultimately, however, Wasps efforts were too little too late as Sale managed to just about edge past them and secure a vital 5 point victory for themselves. Wasps will be bitterly disappointed with their performance but will take some consolation in securing a losing bonus point.
