Wilkinson and O'Driscoll go into this game with both announcing that they we will be retiring at the end of the season so today's game will be the last European Cup Rugby match for one of them while the player on the winning team's Heineken Cup journey will continue as they hope to end their career in Cardiff with some silverware.
Hello mum
Leinster have made four changes today from the side that defeated Munster in the Aviva last week.Prop Cian Healy (ankle) and flanker Rhys Ruddock (calf) return to the pack while wing Dave Kearney replaces Luke Fitzgerald after shaking off a knock. The final change is in the half-backs, with Jimmy Gopperth selected at fly-half in place of Ian Madigan, Leinster fans will be confident with 11 of the starting XV part of the Ireland team that lifted the Six Nations trophy in Paris less than a month ago. As for Toulon Bakkies Botha and Ali Williams don't make this game due to injury, but Toulon's pack won't lack for Test caps or bite. Juan Smith and Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe have been two of the best flankers in world rugby over the last decade, when fit. Jonny Wilkinson also returns to the side after being rested for their win over Toulouse last week replacing Michalak who doesn't even make the bench. Kick off is coming up so stay with us for further updates and analysis of the game of the weekend.
Hello and welcome to Ultimate Rugby's live coverage of the 4th and final Heineken Cup quarter final of the weekend in what is surely the tie of the quarter final draw where 3 times champions and winners in 2012, Leinster travel to the Stade Felix Mayol to take on the reigning champions Toulon. Both sides comfortably topped their respective groups but suffered defeats on the way with Toulon losing away to Cardiff Blues and Leinster suffering a shock defeat to Northampton Saints after hammering them in Franklin Gardens the week before. Toulon however had some comprehensive wins picking up bonus points from each game which gave them the home tie for today's game in which two giants of European Rugby go head to head. Both sides go into this game hot on form with Toulon winning 5 out of their last 6 as for Leinster they have won their last 10 games in all competition and have not suffered a defeat since losing to Edinburgh in Late December. Both these sides have never met before in the competition but Leinster have a decent record in France with most Leinster fans remembering their win away to Toulouse in 2006 and most recently their win away to Castres in January where the Top 14 champions last year have such a good record on their home turf. Toulon's last home defeat came against Grenoble back in January which saw their brilliant record of 363 days without losing at home disappear. Kick off is half an hour away and this is going to be a tight game which will go down to the wire so stay with us for further updates and analysis live from the Stade Felix Mayol.
