New Zealand take a 28-10 lead over Wales into halftime. New Zealand started strongly with two early tries to build a 14-0 lead. Wales hit back with a try midway through the half and added a penalty shortly after to reduce the deficit to just four points at 14-10. However, the All Blacks would finish the half as they started it, running in a further two tries for a comfortable advantage at the break.
