Ireland take a 10-7 lead over NZ into halftime after a crazy first half. Ireland got off to the perfect start with a try just two minutes in and they added a penalty ten minutes later to open up a 10-0 lead. The All Blacks picked up yellow cards after 17 and 24 minutes to go down to 13 players, with Ireland piling on the pressure. It went from bad to worse for NZ as they picked up a red card around the half hour mark meaning they will be down a player for the remainder of the match. Despite all this, the All Blacks defence held firm to miraculously keep Ireland out. It was then the turn of Ireland to pick up a yellow card on the stroke of halftime and the All Blacks capitalized with a try with the final play of the half to trail by just three points at the break.
