Having said this there have been chances, the Ospreys having just gone close through a sustained attack in the Leinster 22. The ball eventually gets tapped at the bottom of a ruck and is turned over. 51 minutes gone, and after a bit of a lull again Leinster are the side to up the tempo, as a measured chip over the top from Sexton on half way is gathered by McFadden, who races clear. He is caught and Sexton puts in another good chip to pin the Ospreys deep in their own 22.

Leinster out of the blocks early in the second half, holding on to possession until the ball reaches Conway on the wing. He stabs a kick through and beats Ross Jones for pace to regather possession and score unopposed. Sextons conversion goes over off the post to leave the scores 24-12, 45 minutes gone.

Sexton steps up to score, and lengthen his sides lead as Nigel Owens calls time on an immensely entertaining half. A messy period of play begins as Conway attempts to clear and is half blocked down, allowing Habberfield of the Ospreys to speed on to the ball and bring play up to the Leinster line. The ball is moved wide, and John drives past Sexton one on one to score in the corner. Biggar cant get the tough conversion, leaving the score at 14-12 to Leinster, 3 minutes left to play.

After a sustained period of Ospreys pressure Jack McGrath is eventually penalised for not rolling away. Biggar than catches the Leinster defence napping, taking a quick tap from the penalty and showing good strength to get over in the corner. He converts his own score to leave the scores at 14-7 to Leinster, 8 minutes left in the half.

Although Leinster are well on top, the Ospreys look dangerous with ball in hand, going close just now as Biggar puts in a grubber for Bearman to latch on to, but the ball just beats him to the deadball line. 28 minutes gone.

Another try for Conway, this time created by the young Leinster scrum half McGrath who spots a gap off the top of the lineout. He scythes through it and offloads just before the line to the supporting Conway to give Leinster a 14 point lead after 25 minutes.
