After shooting out to a commanding 23-6 lead at half time, the hosts then struggled as Glasgow mounted a magnificent comeback in the second half, with Ashe's try shifting the momentum in Glasgow's favour. Changes at scrum half and outhalf allowed the visitors to take the lead at the 70 minute mark through Russell's converted try. However, after Carbery's kick at goal and an interesting lighting malfunction it was the hosts that eventually claimed the win.
