Ireland take a 22-16 lead over France into halftime. France opened the scoring with an early penalty, but Ireland responded with the games first try to lead 7-3. France kicked a second penalty before going over for their first try to lead 13-7. Ireland hit back with a try midway through the half to trail 13-12. France then picked up a yellow card and Ireland capitalized with another score to make it 19-13. France pulled three points back with a penalty, but an Irish shot at goal with the final play of the half sees them hold a six point advantage at the break.
